Servant Leadership - Serving The Needs Of Employees
Servant leadership means serving the needs of followers or employees. It is a good idea in so far as it encourages leaders to be less self-serving. Leaders who put their own needs first set a poor example for employees. However, we can't overlook the fact that leaders must consider the needs of shareholders and customers first and that this can run counter to the needs of employees. Hence, servant leadership is not such a great idea as its fans make out.
